Press kits are prepared just prior to Rebuilding Day and other special projects for distribution to television stations, newspaper editors, journalists, reporters, camera crews, photographers, and local politicians. They contain a map of the area showing the location of each house and community project where work is being performed, a Rebuilding Together Baltimore T-Shirt, DVD, and a very nice baseball style cap.
Media packets also contain a brief explanation of who we are, what we do, when and where we work, and why we are so proud of the 18,600 volunteers, who have repaired and revitalized more than 926 local homes and completed dozens of community improvement projects, representing a market value in excess of 5.7 million dollars.
For those of you who have witnessed one of our events, you already know how compelling a Rebuilding Together story can be. If you have yet to experience the excitement, comradery, and emotion that are integral to each of our projects, you owe it to yourself to join us on our next Rebuilding Day -- and then to tell everyone you know how amazing it was ;-)
